Townline Lawnmower Fire
On June 2nd Adams responded to a lawnmower on fire approximately 50ft from the residence on Townline Rd. A rapid response from our members were able to put the fire out and have damage done to the surrounding structures.
Niagara Falls Blvd. House Fire
On March 16th Adams responded with St Johnsburg for a house fire on Niagara Falls Blvd. A quick response and fire knockdown by both companies limited any further damage to the residence.
MVA Shawnee and Klemer
On March 10 Adams responded for a two car MVA at Shawnee Rd and Klemer Rd. Heavy damage to the vehicle but only minor injuries to those involved.
Car Fire
On February 12th a vehicle started on fire while driving down Nash Road and knocked on our door for our assistance at Hall 1. A crew at the hall was able to extinguish the fire quickly minimizing damage
MVA Nash and Blvd
On February 10th Adams responded to a 3 car MVA at Nash and Niagara Falls Blvd. All cars sustained heavy damage and two individuals were transported to the hospital for non life threatening injuries.
Garage Fire
Adams teamed up with St. Johnsburg Fire Company again on 01/21/21 to make quick work of a detached garage fire. Upon arrival the whole garage was fully engulfed and there were multiple explosions coming from it. Crews set up defensive operations and extinguished the fire in a timely manner. Bergholz Fire Company backfilled our stations while we were out on the fire. No injuries were sustained from the incident and no exposures were damaged.
Adams Awarded PPE Grant
Congressman Chris Jacobs (NY-27) is announcing over $96,000 in grant funding awarded to Western New York fire departments through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
“Local fire departments provide vital emergency services and support to our local communities. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for continuing their tireless work bravely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” Jacobs said. “These grants, provided through DHS, will be instrumental in aiding our local fire departments in purchasing PPE and other safety equipment so our firefighters are better protected and can continue safely serving our community.”
The grants were award through the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) FY2020 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The program is administered by DHS in conjunction with the U.S. Fire Administration. The funding is awarded to support the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety supplies to aid with first responders’ COVID-19 response.
